Side Eagle Canyon Tour Itinerary
The excursion begins early in the morning at 9:00 AM, and our comfortable, air-conditioned bus will pick you up at your hotel gate. The drive to the canyon takes approximately two hours. The route takes you through small villages, orange groves, across bridges, along mountain roads, and through verdant forests. It’s truly a feast for the eyes to see all this natural beauty, and our guide will provide commentary along the way.
On the way to Eagle Canyon, there will be short photo stops, including one at the 2,000-year-old Roman-era Oluk Bridge. We’ll then stop at our restaurant, located right on the riverbank, where you can enjoy refreshments before we continue our journey. Before reaching the canyon, we’ll make a brief stop at the “Pauline Way,” where you can see the route taken by this important figure in Christianity on his first missionary journey.
Upon arrival at Eagle Canyon, you’ll have 45 minutes of free time to enjoy the view and capture the memories of this place. Take some Instagram-worthy photos of the breathtaking vistas. Our guide will tell you about the Taurus Mountains and the Köprüçay River, which you can clearly see from the canyon’s rim. The lush greenery surrounding the area will also contribute to a sense of relaxation and tranquility.
After visiting Eagle Canyon, we’ll return to the riverside restaurant, where we’ll all enjoy a feast of trout, chicken, or meatballs with rice, chips, and salad. Enjoying lunch on the riverbank against such a spectacular backdrop will be a truly unique experience. Next, we’ll visit the ancient city of Selge, where you can see the remarkably well-preserved 2,200-year-old Roman amphitheater. After this final stop, we’ll head back to the hotels, ensuring your safe return by 5:00 PM, when the tour officially concludes.
