Overview
Itinerary of Side Eagle Canyon Tour
The excursion starts early morning at 09:00 and our comfortable air-conditioned bus picks you up from the gate of your hotel. The journey to the canyon lasts for about 2 hours. The tour route passes through small villages, orange orchards, bridges, mountain roads, and green forests. It’s really a treat for the eyes to see all these natural attractions and our guide gives information about them along the journey.
Fun fact, there are short photoshops along the journey to Eagle Canyon and one of them is at 2000 years-old bridge from the Roman Period called Oluk Bridge. Then, we will have a stopover at our restaurant which is just by the river. Here, you can refresh yourself and then we go on to our journey. Before we reach the canyon, there will be another short stop at “Saint Paul’s Road” where you can see the path this very important figure of Christianity followed in his first missionary journey.
When we arrive at Eagle Canyon, you will have 45 minutes of free time to enjoy the views and store mental images of this place in your mind forever. You can take some Instagramic pictures of amazing views here. Our guide will inform you about the Taurus Mountains and the river Köprüçay which you can clearly see from the top of the canyon. Even all the greenery around the place will make you feel relaxed and peaceful.
After the Eagle Canyon visit, we will go back to the restaurant by the river where we all enjoy the feast of trout fish, chicken, or meatballs with rice, chips, and salad. It will be a unique experience to enjoy your lunch by the side of the river with spectacular scenery. Then, we will have a visit to Selge Ancient City where you can see 2200 years-old Roman amphitheater which is amazingly well-preserved. After this last stop, we will leave to get back to the hotels as we make sure you reach back safely at about 5 pm and the tour officially ends.
